03-12-20 CO FFA Foundation: In Memory of Edward B. Cordes…

CO FFA Foundation: In Memory of Edward B. Cordes…

DECEMBER 12, 1951 – MARCH 11, 2020

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce that Edward B. Cordes passed away at the age of 68 on March 10, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. Ed formed Cordes & Company (the “Firm”) 35 years ago and was a larger-than-life professional involved in many endeavors including the banking, bankruptcy, litigation services, agriculture, valuation and other industries.

In 2019, he retired from full-time work at the Firm, but continued to consult and participate with Firm professionals on certain ongoing engagements. Ed was also involved in various philanthropic initiatives that were important to him. His quick wit, brilliant thinking and salty language will be missed by those whose professional and personal lives he touched.

Here are additional details regarding the services:

Per the family’s request, due to increased concerns about exposure to coronavirus the visitation, rosary, and funeral services will be limited to family only.  A separate memorial event will be held at a later date to be announced in the future to allow friends, family, and colleagues to celebrate Ed’s life and legacy.

Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roggen, Colorado and are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 17th at 10:00 a.m.

Visitation will occur on Monday evening, March 16th at 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Memorial gifts, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Edward B. Cordes Scholarship Fund of the Colorado FFA Foundation, P.O. Box 1000, Greeley, Colorado 80632.
