Red Angus News: Inaugural ‘Buckle & Banner’ Equips Stock Show Exhibitors to Excel in the Show Ring and Pasture

DENVER – The Red Angus Association of America is pleased to announce an innovative new publication connecting the show ring and the beef industry. Buckle & Banner is a quarterly online publication with an emphasis on Red Angus shows, juniors and breed education. This new publication highlights cattle exhibitions and related topics through creative editorial, while still staying connected to broader Association issues that are the driving force behind the beef industry and the Red Angus breed. The inaugural Buckle & Banner will be released online during the National Western Stock Show and will be widely distributed in print at the NWSS, Fort Worth Stock Show and other spring livestock events.

Buckle & Banner features information and tips that are beneficial to stock show exhibitors and their families. Content will revolve around topics that will equip exhibitors with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in the show ring, as well as improve their herds for the betterment of the breed.

“The Red Angus breed has continued to grow in popularity and numbers in the past 10 years, both in and out of the show arena. Red Angus is committed to helping sustain and expand our growth and popularity across the industry,” said RAAA show programs coordinator Chessie Mitchell. “Buckle & Banner is an additional tool to sustain that growth. We look forward to continuing our work throughout the industry with the intent to place more Red Angus cattle in producers’ pastures.”

Buckle & Banner is accepting advertisements from all segments of the Red Angus breed for the April/May issue. The advertisement deadline for the April/May issue is March 1, 2019. To reserve your ad space, please contact Chessie Mitchell at chessie@redangus.org.
