CO SENATOR LUCIA GUZMAN APPLAUDS GOVERNOR’S CLIMATE ORDER

Denver, CO — Senate Minority Leader Lucia Guzman, D-Denver, released the following statement in support of Governor John Hickenlooper’s announcement that Colorado would commit to climate action and would be joining 12 other states and 1 territory in the United States Climate Alliance:

“I applaud the Governor for sending a strong message that Colorado would continue to be a nationwide leader in combating climate change and advancing in the new energy economy. Colorado has a moral obligation to tackle climate change not only for the preservation and health of our planet, but for the health and safety of our families as well. Additionally, taking climate action has helped create our booming economy, which includes thousands of good-paying renewable energy jobs across the state and our incredible tourism industry that is fueled by our clean public lands. The bottom line is committing to reduce carbon dioxide emissions is the right move for the future of Colorado and its people, and I am so pleased the Governor made this very important decision.”

The Hospital posted these “Welcome SB 267 Champions” signs along I-70 near the hospital, and right outside the outside patio where the party was held.
