A Criminal on the Loose in Lincoln County
Arvada, CO – August 11, 2016 – LINCOLN COUNTY – Authorities are offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person who is shooting and killing cattle in eastern Colorado, just north of Hugo. In addition, Colorado’s Operation Livestock Thief program is offering an award up to $2,500 for information leading to the conviction of this criminal. All leads should be reported to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office at (719) 743-2426.
The sherriff’s office says the offender has killed five cows and seven antelope. The shootings have been a phenomenon since 2013.
“If you know something, say something,” the sheriff’s office posted on its Facebook page. “It’s time to evaluate your loyalty to this CRIMINAL. Would this person keep YOUR secret with a $10,000 reason not to?” The post asked.
Again, if you have any information regarding the shootings, please call the sheriff’s office at (719) 743-2426.
“This is the act of someone with a low moral compass,” said Capt. Michael Yowell with the sheriff’s office. “It’s cruelty. It’s criminal. It’s unbelievable that somebody would do this.”
Let’s help put a stop to this today!
