Pro 15 Presents Lunch & Learn on 2016 Ballot
FORT MORGAN, CO, July 12, 2016 – Progressive 15 is presenting information on the 2016 Ballot at a Lunch & Learn event on July 27th from 10 am to 2 pm in Fort Morgan at The Country Steak Out and is open to the public; however, registration ($25 pp) is required. Go to www.progressive15.org to register and for additional details.
In a 2012 report by the Daily Yonder voting in rural areas was down by 18% over 2008. According to Executive Director, Cathy Shull, Progressive 15 will be working to reverse that trend in our area for 2016. The items on the 2016 Ballot are too important to our region of our state not to have a large turnout. Chairman of the Board, Barry Gore, from Adams County Economic Development, indicated that this Lunch & Learn event will be just the first of the efforts by Progressive 15 to get our members and the communities in our region to preview, prepare and participate for the vote in November. We will be providing full content on the ballot items on our website and Facebook page.
After this luncheon we will be taking positions and advocating for or against some of the initiatives and amendments in the coming months. Progressive 15 will also be available to speak before your club, organization, chamber or group on these issues. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a speaker.
At the current time we have speakers on the Universal Health Care Amendment 69, on 3 oil and gas regulations, Colorado Priorities, Raise the Bar and we are still adding speakers. There will also be an opportunity to sign petitions in some cases if you desire.
