Arvada, CO – May 24, 2016 – The Junior Colorado Cattlemen’s Association (JCCA) is excited to announce a free hands-on beef showmanship and fitting clinic presented by Sullivan Supply on June 13 in Colorado Springs.
This nationally-renowned workshop is open to all junior beef exhibitors and is sure to have something to offer to beginner, as well as experienced, showmen. “Stock Show U is a great program, that has taught me a great deal about fitting and showmanship”, says Dean VanWinkle, President of JCCA. “We are really excited about bringing this opportunity to Colorado”, he continued. The clinic is being held in conjunction with the annual convention of the Colorado Cattlemen’s Association.
Sullivan Supply, a leader in livestock grooming supplies, sponsors clinics across the country and has helped thousands of showmen improve their skills and feel more comfortable in the show ring. Exhibitors are encouraged to bring a calf and their fitting equipment for a true hands-on experience, but it’s not required. Small groups can team up to work together on a calf, or you can just watch and learn.
Held at the Norris-Penrose Event Center, the clinic begins at 8:00 am and concludes at 5:00 pm. Topics to be included are daily hair care, fitting, breakdown and showmanship.
