Focusing On Developing Urban Cooperatives
Veronica Dufner is joining RMFU’s Cooperative Development Center as an urban co-op developer. She will work with groups working to develop their own cooperative ventures.
Veronica has more than 13 years of organizing experience with community-based organizations and labor unions in Denver. During her time with the labor union, she served as the property services director, overseeing 3,200 union members, and as chief of staff, overseeing two divisions and all external organizing within SEIU Local 105. Veronica left SEIU Local 105 to lead education reform work in Southwest Denver as a the director of Padres & Jóvenes Unidos.
She has also served on the boards of Jobs with Justice, Colorado Immigrants Rights Coalition and Rights for All People. Originally from Peru, she has a bachelor’s degree in communications.
