Who: The Rocky Mountain Farmers Union is a group made up of agriculture producers who work toward bettering the agriculture industry in Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico. With its mission, Safe Healthy Food Begins with Secure Profitable Farm and Ranch Families, the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union is the regional branch of the National Farmers Union. Not only does this group lobby at the local legislature, they also have instituted a CO-OP division that works to help producers achieve their business and financial goals. With over 23-thousand members spanning these three states, the RMFU & the BARN invite you to add the Radioline Report to your programming line-up.
As of January 1st, 2012 the report will be produced and hosted by Brian Allmer of the BARN, the Brian Allmer Radio Network. Allmer has been a farm broadcaster since 2005 and is am fluent in agriculture issues. Allmer is also a Broadcast Council Member of the National Association of Farm Broadcasters (NAFB). Allmer currently serve on both the Colorado 4H & Colorado FFA Foundation Board of Directors and works on behalf of those organizations throughout the year.
Content: The program will feature key industry officials, project leaders, farmers and ranchers that will not only inform your ag audience but the general public as well. Issue coverage will highlight legislative bill, water, land use, wildlife, food, consumer outlooks, special events and projects in all three states. You are welcome and encouraged to sell the report to local sponsors. The local Farmers Union Insurance Representative is the ideal candidate.
