06-26-13 New “Emergency Disaster Information” Section on Colorado Horse Council Website…
Posted by Brian Allmer on June 26, 2013
It is your responsibility as a horse owner to be informed members of the Colorado horse community. The new way to do that is through the Colorado Horse Council (CHC) and working together to provide up to date information from reliable resources.
With numerous calls coming from various concerned owners, volunteers willing to help and businesses wanting to become involved in emergency situations, the CHC has started an area on the home page of the website to assist you in finding the appropriate state and local information when there is a declared environment or health emergency/notice. Just click on to theEmergency/Disaster Information tab. This area is not to take the place of any current websites, but to enhance your ability to go to the appropriate resources for direction when emergencies arise or there are state health alerts.
Our entire website can be accessed through your mobile devices by texting the word “horses” to “70000″. This service, brought to you by the Colorado Horse Council, connects you to the horse community wherever you can use your cell phone, tablets or computers. It keeps you informed of the CHC’s activities, legislation, important notices and connects you with the equine community.
Join the Colorado Horse Council and help us protect, promote and develop our equine community.
