FORT COLLINS - Farmers will learn about the benefits of conservation tillage under furrow irrigation during a free demonstration field day Friday, Aug. 3, at Colorado State University’s Agricultural Research, Development and Education Center. The session, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, will encourage discussion among growers about conservation tillage and successful practices.
CSU researchers also will lead a site visit and share results from a conservation tillage project now in its second year at ARDEC, the university’s research farm north of Fort Collins.
The demonstration field day is organized by the CSU Department of Soil and Crop Sciences and will begin at the Taylor Conference Center on the grounds of ARDEC, 4482 E. County Road 56, Fort Collins. The session is free, but advance registration is requested; email adilka44@rams.colostate.edu or call (970) 491-0447.
