DCP/ACRE SIGNUP DEADLINE
Most of the producers in Phillips County, Colorado have already signed up in the DCP/Acre program. But if you are one of those producers who have not signed up yet and still want to do so please notify the County Office immediately. The deadline to sign up is June 1, 2012 and due to other workload in the office appointment times are very limited.
CERTIFICATION (REPORTING) OF ACREAGE
The Phillips County Farm Service Agency Office will be taking acreage reports on your 2012 planted crops by appointments again this year. We have scheduled appointments for operators on all farms administrated in our county and have sent out “blue” appointment cards on May 15, 2012 with your scheduled appointments. We ask that you to do your best to keep and make your appointment but we understand conflicts do exist. If you have a conflict with your scheduled date and time please call the County Office immediately to reschedule your appointment. Appointment dates and times are very limited so rescheduling should be kept to a minimum. The deadline to report your acreage is July 15, 2012.
ELECTION OF COUNTY COMMITTEE MEMBER
Every year the Farm Service Agency holds an election in the fall for one of the County Committee members. Local Administrative Area 2 (LAA 2) is the area where the election will be held this year. Sonia Hubbard is the member from that area. Nomination forms will be mailed out around June 1, 2012 to eligible voters in that area. If you wish to nominate someone from that area please fill out the form and return it to the Phillips County Office prior to August 1, 2012. Once nominations close, the eligible voters in that area will be mailed ballots later in the fall to utilize during the voting process.
